2010: Signed with Gallitos de Isabella in the very competitive BSN in Puerto Rico. As a native Darnell is not looked upon to carry the team or do the bulk of the scoring which is normally his job. In a very talented backcourt Darnell has carved out playing time of about 19mpg. In that team he has put together some amazing performances with19pts in 18minutes vs Bayamon (3/9/10). In that same game shot a red hot 5-8 from the 3pt line. Also went for 14pts vs Mayaguez where he also showed his downtown prowess at 4-11 from behind the arc. A coaching change on April 28th resulted in Darnell being inserted into the starting line up (at the SG spot) and that changed everything....with his new role and minutes his scoring average jumped to 18.5ppg and assists jumped to 3.8apg since he was inserted into the starting lineup! Also since then he has scored in double figures every game and had a season high 35pts vs Mayaguez (4/28/10). With a great last game Darnell propelled his team into the playoffs but the surrendered to the eventual champs.
2008-09: Signed with Perth of the Australian NBL on a multi year deal. Quarterbacked a stacked team where any of the players could go for 20pts on any given night. Ranked 20th in the league in scoring, 9th in league in FT% (77%), 4th in the league in assists (5.1apg) and 3rd in the league in steals (1.7stpg). Overall another fantastic season on a team that finished top 4 in the league. Immediately joined up with Limoges in ProB France for the rest of the season and the playoffs. Came in and made an immediate difference for the team sliding flawlessly into the role as the team organizer. Did exactly as he was expected to do leading the team in assists and steals while slotting comfortably in at 2nd of the team in scoring. Lead them into the playoffs.
