Outlook

A very good athlete whose game is very complete.  Able to play at several positions.  Rebounds like a center but runs like a guard.  It is hard to characterize where he belongs on a court cause he can do so many things.  He can go around or overtop of most defenders.  Plays hard when he is on the court and can be a real force on the glass.  Can handle the ball and has played SF without problems numerous times  Extremely strong and well built and will stuff a stat sheet with his activity!  A decent outside shooter from beyond the 3pt arc but is deadly with the mid-range game.  A highlight waiting to happen and he consistently dunks back offensive shots for easy scores.  His complete potential was not realized at college as perhaps he was not a fit with the college system but he has shown the ability to EXCEL in a pro game and he will show that this season.

Career

2008-09:  Signed with Ginasio of the UZO Liga in Portugal.  Was only able to stay for limited time as the team ran into financially difficultly and Dustin elected to leave that situation looking for a more professional opportunity.  At the time was averaging a team leading 14.8ppg and grabbing almost 9 rpg.

2007-08:  Signed with Furstenfeld of the top league in Austria.  Started out the season in GREAT formbut it really was a bizzare situation where he would play 25minutes one game and then 1 minute the next game.  Had a season high 8 rebs on 3 occasions but strangely he did not play more than 20 min in any of those games.  Finally  moved over to Sampaense of the ProLiga division in Portugal.  Finally had a chance to showcase his skills and show that he is a high quality player just waiting for his breakout chance.  And he did just that averaging a double double while pulling his team into playoff contention.  Posted season highs of 28pts and 12 rebs on March 3/08 vs Quleuz.

2006-07:  Started the summer in great form in the LA Summer Pro League with the Panthers where Dustin got a chance to showcase his tremedous array of talents.  Led the team in scoring (18.8ppg) and rebounding (8.3rpg) while shooting a red hot 60% from the floor.  Was drafted into the NBDL in the second round with the Austin Torros at number 87 overall but was released after training camp as 2 NBA players were assigned to the team and he found himself the odd man out.  Joined briefly to the ABA's Hollywood Fame before financial instability cause him to leave and then was auditioned and offered the basketball role in the up coming Will Farrell ABA movie that he worked on for the rest of the year.

2005-06:  A coaching changed was very instrumental and the reason for Dustin not becoming a main part of the system.    As the new coaching staff came in they went in other directions and did not see Dustin in their future plans choosing to play ahead of him their younger players for the future.  Despite that Dustin finished his senior season as a major contributor over his four year career.  Logged minutes in every contest and made his presence felt when given the opportunity. Despite only averaging 12mpg Dustin gave the team a ton of life of the bench and became an excellent catalyst to get the team rolling when things slowed.   Scored 7pts to go along with 4rebs and 2 assists in only 16 min in a crucial victory vs St. Mary's (1/23/06).  Connected on 3-5 FG in 19 minutes vs Western Michigan scoring 8pts, 4rebs and 2 helpers (12/22/05)
