2011-12: Signed with the Sydney Kings of the NBL in Australia.
2010-11: Signed with Oviedo in Spain LEB Silver. Put together an amazing season suiting up beside fellow B3 teamate Ian O'Leary. Both players contested for the MVP of the league but Kevin was hampered by a thigh injury and had to stop play in February. He finishes 2nd on the team in scoring, blocked shots and rebounding, first in the team in 3pt% and FG%. Also records himself 5th overall in the league in scoring. A fantastic all around effort. Helped Oveido qualify to the top 8 playoffs. Went for a season high 24pts vs Guadalajara (10/29/10). Grabbed a season high 11rebs on two occasions. Dished out 3 assists vs Illescas on (1/22/11).
2009-10: Entered Europe via the Irish Super league where he showed that he was much better than that level of talent. Playing for Belfast star he quickly rocketed to the top of the stat charts in many categories....ended up being named Eurobasket All Imports team for the season. As soon as he finished there he headed down to the Ringwood Hawks of the BigV league in Australia. He picked up right where he left off and propelled his team to the league finals while again posting a huge double double. For those efforts he was named League MVP and also Forward of the year.
2008-09: A fantastic season season that saw Kevin post career high across the board. For his season's efforts he received the following accolades: NSIC Player of the Year, NCAA D2 All-Star Game, NABC NCAA D2 All-America Central District 1st Team, NCAA D2 All-America 1st Team (by Division II Bulletin).
2007-08: Had another successful season for the Wolves, ranking fourth in the league with a team high 16.8 ppg (555 pts) ... played in every game of the season, scoring in double figures in all but two games ... reached the 20+ point barrier 13 times on the year ... reached 1,000 career points on January 19 ... was second on the team with 5.7 rebounds per game (8th in NSIC) ... ranked second in the league with a 48.4% three-point mark, hitting 62-of-128 long range shots ... also had 46 assists and a team high 33 steals on the year ... named to the All-NSIC First Team ... made the North Central All-Region Tournament Team .. named to the NABC Division II All-North Central District First Team.
2006-07: Started all 29 games ... was the NSIC's leading scorer on the season with 539 total points and a 18.6 scoring average ... scored in double figures every game during the season ... named to the All-NSIC First Team ... led the Wolves in rebounding with 6.2 per game ... had 37 steals and 30 blocks on the season ... scored career high 32 points against Augustana College on November 18th, 2006 ... NSIC Player of the Week on February 12th.
2005-06: Kevin played in 33 games and averaged 15.4 minutes per game ... averaged 4.3 points per game and 3.1 rebounds per game ... had 143 points and 102 rebounds in his redshirt-freshman campaign ... shot 45.6% (52/114) from the field and 77.1% (27/35) from the free throw line.
2004-05: Redshirted his freshman year.
High School: Ratzsch attended Bloomington High School where he was a team captain, a Big 12 All-Conference selection, a member of the Panttagraph All-Area and Pontiac Holiday All-Tournament teams, an IBCA All-Star and an All-State Honorable Mention selection ... averaged 14.9 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while shooting 64.1% from the field and 47.6% from behind the arc ... also swatted 59 blocks. |
