2005-06:
Started the season in the
highly competitive BBL in England with the Birmingham Bullets, where he
led his team and the league in rebounding for much of the season before
finishing in 2nd. Hauled in 17rebs vs Leicester Riders on
Nov12th,....logged a game and league season high 27 rebs in an overtime
game vs Westfield Sharks to go along with 19pts on Nov 10th.......moved
south to Argentina LIGA A with top team River Plate in Feb but
unfortunately saw the club get into financial turmoil and had to leave as
the club could not finish the season. As a result River Plate is no
longer in the league in Argentina.
2004-05: Matt spent the summer months successfully playing down in Australia (Div2) with the Hervey Bay Hurricanes where he picked up awards as the leading scorer and rebounder in that league. He lead his team to the play-offs only to be upset in the semi-finals. Matt lead the team in scoring at just under 27ppg and rebound and around 12rpg. One of his highlight performances was a 41pt 5/7 3pt shooting nights against Ipswich. Matt did not see significant playing time as a senior because of the deep talent pool at Pacific in his senior season. He found himself behind Guiliame Yango and Christian Maerker, both of whom are projected NBA players in the future. 2003-04: Matt played in 18 games for the Tigers, scoring 35 points before breaking his hand and having to sit out the rest of the season... He scored a season-high seven points and grabbed a season-high seven rebounds against Cal State Stanislaus on Dec. 30 ... Matt was named as one of Pacific Basketball's Outstanding Student Athletes at the awards banquet. 2002-03: Matt played in all 28 games, making eight starts for the Tigers ... He averaged 7.5 points per game on the season... Leading the Tigers in total rebounds with 164, he was second on the team in rebound average (5.9 rpg) ... Kemper had a career-high six offensive rebounds against UC Irvine on Feb. 22 ... He equaled his road season high with nine points against Long Beach State on Feb. 19 ... Kemper had 13 points against Long Beach State on Jan. 25, his second straight double figure game ... Kemper scored 16 points (all in the first half) against Idaho on Jan. 2, hitting six out of eight shots from the field (4-5 from three) and grabbed nine rebounds ... He had a career-high 15 boards to go along with 14 points against Saint Joseph's on Dec. 28 ... Kemper notched career highs with 24 points and 12 rebounds against Lamar on Nov. 24.
