2008-09: Drafted first pick over all in the 2008-09 PBL Draft. On Feb 1, 2009 he was traded to the Chicago Throwbacks a team in desperate need of his scoring ability. Scored a season high 26pts to go along wtih 10rebs vs Augusta Groove on 1/24/09. Matched his season high of 10rebs on two occasions....as previously noted and then again on Jan 17 when he recorded 17pts and 10rebs.
2007-08: Signed with the Quad City Thunder of the newly formed PBL and lead the team to a first place finish and a playoff birth. The were upset in the semi finals but Willie was great all year...he lead the team in rebouding (7.7rpg), second in scoring (17.9ppg), and 2nd in steals (1.8pg). He recorded season highs in scoring and rebounding vs Dallas franchise where he went for 36pts and 15rebs.
2006-07: Signed Dec 26th with the Minot Skyrockets of the CBA. Played 8 games with the club posting impressive numbers and going for a season high 33pts to go along with 10 rebs vs Pittsburgh on 1/10/07. Because of his great CBA play he left for Finland and signed with Pu Hu of the top league in Finland, Korisliiga. They needed a player to come in and do everything, which Willie did,..he immediately came in and made his presence felt by leading the team in scoring and was second in rebounding. He played the PF and SF positions and had several huge games. Had a season high 30 pts to go along with 8 rebs, 4 steals, 3 blocked shots while playing a team high 35 min vs Namika Lahti 17/03/07. Also displayed several 20+pt games to go along with 9 rebs narrowly missing recording more than 7 double doubles for the time he was there.
2005-06: Started the season with the Detroit Wheel of the ABA where he posted solid numbers and helped the team to a .500 record by the new year. Second on the team in scoring and rebounding, took an offer in Argentina at Alectico Echague who when Will arrived was in last place and won only 1game all season! He quickly turned the team around and took them on a win streak which saw them winning 7 of the next 10 games to avoid relegation and then AMAZINGLY Willie helped to requalify the team into the championship playoff. Playing in 19 games he was second on the team in scoring, 3rd in assists and led the team in OVERALL blocked shots. Had some dominating performances in limited minutes at times but was the perfect addition to keep the team alive.
2004-05: Was tested by AZS in Poland but didn't sign because of financial problems with the team. Moved back to the ABA in Detroit where he was second on the team in scoring and rebounding and led them into post season play before losing to the eventual champs.
2003-04: Played in the FIBA Cup and in the Lithuanian league with Neptunas Klaipeda where he was second on the team in both scoring and rebouding. Posted impressive numbers in 2 games in the FIBA cup before the team was eliminated and kept up his stellar play through the course of the rest of the season.
